Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

The crawl space was damp with dirt floors, and the owners were also experiencing sagging floors above the crawl space, which is an indicator that moisture is causing the support beams to fail. We encapsulated the crawl space with our two-step process that involves a layer of drainage matting as well as our CleanSpace vapor barrier liner. Spray Foam insulation was installed along the rim joists to seal the encapsulation and provide improved energy efficiency. Not pictured, we installed 6 SmartJacks which are zinc coated steel posts to immediately lift and level the floors above. With a musty, dirt floor crawlspace below their home, this York, ME homeowner wanted to make use of the space for storage. To keep out moisture and debris to allow for safe storage, a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the interior of the crawlspace after a Drainage Matting was laid across the floor. A SmartSump was installed to capture water and pump it through the new Exterior Buried Discharge line. The Discharge line takes the water far from the home and with the installation of IceGuard, the entire system is protected against ice buildup in the winter. Not only is the homeowner able to enjoy their home with better air quality and without having to worry about water in their crawl space. Finishing out the full waterproofing system was the installation of a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.
