Living with a large crack in their concrete basement wall, this homeowner was no stranger to having water leak into their basement. To put an end to the problems caused by this crack, the homeowner hired us at TC Hafford Basement Systems. As soon as our installation crew arrived, they were able to begin work sealing the crack with a FlexiSpan seal. This three-layer seal with a foam core adheres to the length of the crack and is capable of slight bends to conform to any shifts in the overall shape of the crack while maintaining a water-tight bond. Now this homeowner can make use of the space surrounding the crack without needing to be concerned about potential water damage from leaking moisture!
At this Bingham, ME, home, water intrusion has led to a damaged freezer and heating unit. Ready to solve the problem and protect their home and belongings from further damage, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems to schedule a free estimate.
System Design Specialist Adam Hamm met with the homeowner to discuss their concerns and design a system that would surpass their expectations and protect the health of the home. Water was coming up through a floor drain, leading to as much as three feet of standing water. To ensure that water would not flood the basement, a TripleSafe Sump Pump was installed and connected to an exterior buried discharge line with IceGuard. IceGuard prevents ice buildup during the cold season, keeping the system running all year round.
The homeowner is now protected against water intrusion and can relax, knowing they won’t have to replace expensive appliances again because of flooding.
Looking to keep humidity out of the crawlspace below their home, this Manchester, ME homeowner called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems. After receiving their free estimate, they hired us to provide a proper vapor barrier within the space. Our installation crew got started by laying a Drainage Matting across the dirt floor of the crawlspace. This layer rests just off the surface of the floor to create small channels that moisture can flow through without becoming trapped. The water will pool up in the natural low point of the space on its own to drain harmlessly back into the ground. Next, a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the entire interior of the crawlspace. This waterproof layer finishes the vapor barrier installation, providing the protection against moisture accumulation the homeowner was seeking. Now during harsh rain or melting snow, any leaking moisture will be blocked by the CleanSpace without gathering in the crawlspace and causing humidity problems for the property owner.
With a proper vapor barrier in place, this Manchester, ME homeowner can rest assured their moisture problems are a thing of the past. The Drainage Matting & CleanSpace combination will maintain a dry crawlspace below this home for many years into the future.
A homeowner in Manchester, Maine, had been growing more and more concerned as they noticed water seeping through their basement walls. Unsure of how to fix the problem, they reached out to TC Hafford for help. After a thorough assessment, we installed Dr. Energy Saver foam insulation to create a lasting barrier against moisture. The difference was immediate. The once damp walls were now fully protected, and we added our SaniDry Dehumidifier to remove the previous excess moisture for a clean and dry basement. The homeowner was pleased with the transformation.
Without any water protection in place, this homeowner living in Belgrade, ME would regularly experience water gathering in pools on their basement floor. This rendered their basement useless for storage. To protect their basement from water, they called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems and our crew was able to provide a solution for this leaking foundation. When our crew arrived, they were able to install WaterGuard piping within the perimeter of the concrete floor, buried just beneath the surface. A TripleSafe sump pump was installed in the floor as well with IceGuard & LawnScape pipe segments attached to the discharge line leaving the home. Now when moisture tries to enter the space below this home, the water will be trapped by the WaterGuard. Once inside, the water will travel through the buried pipes to the TripleSafe where it will be removed from the home without having reached the surface of the basement floor.
Now that this homeowner has a properly waterproofed basement, they can make use of the space without pooling water destroying their property.
