A Topsham, ME homeowner contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate to help with their water leak. They already had a sump pump in place, however the water was not making it to the pump. System Design Specialist Peter F. met with the owner and came up with a plan to install WaterGuard along the perimeter of the basement. WaterGuard helps channel water directly to a sump pump which then removes it from the basement. Our homeowner was happy to have their issue resolved while also saving money on not needing a full new pump system.
With water regularly flooding their basement, this Harpswell, ME homeowner called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems to have something done to put an end to it. Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they got to work right away by excavating a trench into the perimeter of the concrete floor of the basement. This enabled the installation of WaterGuard piping encircling the slab with pipes specialized in capturing water. After being buried by a fresh layer of concrete, the WaterGuard will trap any moisture leaking in through the foundation in the future and guide it directly to the new SuperSump pump installed in the corner of the basement. The SuperSump will force any collected water up and out of the basement through a PVC discharge line. Finally, the basement received an encapsulation of CleanSpace. This liner covers the walls in a thin water-tight barrier, which will intercept any moisture leaking through the walls and direct it down into the WaterGuard below.
With these waterproofing measures in place, this homeowner should no longer enter their basement to find standing water or damp conditions in the future. The WaterGuard & SuperSump will work in tandem to maintain a dry basement for years to come!
Wanting to take care of the moisture issue in their Harpswell, ME, crawl space, this homeowner reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for help. System Design Specialist Todd Bernard met with the homeowner to discuss their goals and put together a system that would give them peace of mind.
Encapsulating the hardly-used crawl space would protect the area and home from outside elements and help keep moisture out of the crawl space, preventing mold and small critters from making it their home. CleanSpace with Drainage Matting was installed with Spray Foam, ensuring the best seal. Finally, a Sump Liner was installed so that, if water ever becomes a problem, a sump pump can be quickly and easily installed without disrupting the CleanSpace.
The homeowner can rest easy knowing their home’s health is protected and their crawl space won’t be a home to any critters that aren’t paying bills.
This Harpswell, ME, homeowner recently purchased a new home and immediately had issues with water coming into their basement and crawl space area. Uncertain of how it comes in but appearing often, the homeowner wants to address the issue before it becomes a bigger problem or affects the health of their home. Looking for help, the homeowner reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems to schedule a free estimate. System Design Specialist Michael Madore met with the homeowner and worked with them to design a waterproofing system specific to their unique situation.
To address the crawl space portion of the area, CleanSpace with Drainage Matting was laid down to create an inorganic barrier between the crawl space and the outside elements. CleanSpace not only brightens the area but also aids in keeping critters and moisture out. Drainage Matting creates a barrier gap and allows water to be channeled to the new SuperSump Sump Pump. The SuperSump will push all water out of the area, and because of the CleanSpace and Drainage Matting’s tough design, the crawl space is the perfect storage area for the homeowner.
The basement portion of the space needed to be addressed, and so WaterGuard Perimeter Drain was installed where needed and connected to another SuperSump Sump Pump. The WaterGuard captures and channels water to the SuperSump, which takes the water and pumps it out of the space through a Buried Discharge Line. The Discharge Line takes the water away from the home. The homeowner can now live in their home knowing that their basement and crawl space will no longer be an area of trouble.
Tired of living with a damp and dirty basement floor, this homeowner decided it was time they covered it up. After consulting with our team, the homeowner was greeted by our foreman Josh Bridge. Josh then laid a CleanSpace liner across the floor of the space, keeping out moisture and providing a much more appealing surface for the homeowner.
