We installed a trench drain in front of the customer's basement door to stop water from seeping in and flooding the basement. We dug a trench, placed the drain with proper slope, connected it to a discharge line, and backfilled the area. This keeps the basement dry and prevents future flooding.
We installed a SuperSump pump system to protect this basement from future flooding by efficiently managing water and keeping it out. This system is designed to handle heavy water flow, prevent clogs, and ensure reliable operation, giving the homeowner peace of mind even during severe weather.
This Oakland, ME, homeowner has been dealing with issues during rain events where their sump wouldn’t work, leaving up to three inches of water in the basement that they use for storage. The homeowner didn’t want to risk their belongings being damaged, so they called TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate.
The old sump was no longer doing the job, so it was removed and replaced with a brand new SuperSump Plus system. The SuperSump Plus pumps the water through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that takes it far from the home. The Discharge line is protected against ice buildup during the winter months with the installation of IceGuard. Water was leaking in around the perimeter of the basement, so WaterGuard was installed to catch the water and channel it to the SuperSump. Now that the basement is waterproofed, the homeowner can use the space for storage without the worry of their belongings being damaged or costly repairs.
A homeowner from Rome, ME reached out for a free estimate from TC Hafford Basement Systems to waterproof their basement. The homeowner was frustrated that their space was a wet mess after each heavy rain. Our System Design Specialist Mike M. met with the owner to come up with a plan to address the leaking basement.
WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter of the basement and connected to a new SuperSump Plus system. WaterGuard captures and channels water to the SuperSump, which drains it out of the basement and through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that is protected against ice buildup with IceGuard. CleanSpace Wall System was installed to act as a vapor barrier where needed and channel any additional moisture from the walls to the WaterGuard. Drainage Matting, which is a durable barrier with dimples to help channel water and elevate the CleanSpace, was installed on the slab. Now the basement is clean, dry, and most importantly usable!
This Phippsburg, ME, home had issues with high humidity and moisture leading to mold and causing issues for the homeowner who had to hire a mold remediation company to help. Wanting to prevent further damage and protect the health of their home and family, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate. System Design Specialist Michael Penna met with the homeowner and worked with them to design an encapsulation system that would keep moisture out of the crawl space.
The area was prepped for encapsulation by regrading the area and laying down Drainage Matting. Drainage Matting features large dimples that channel water to the sump and create a barrier to protect CleanSpace once it is installed. CleanSpace is a durable, inorganic vapor barrier that is laid on the floor and attached to the walls to seal the crawl space and keep moisture and critters out. A SmartSump was installed to capture groundwater and pump it out of the crawl space through the new Exterior Buried Discharge line. The Discharge line takes the water far from the home and protects the system against ice buildup with the installation of IceGuard. SprayFoam was installed along the rim joists, and the system was finished after a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed. The SaniDry Sedona keeps the humidity in the crawl space at a safe level and drains directly to the SmartSump, so the homeowner never has to worry about emptying a bucket of water to keep it running. Now the homeowner is able to use their crawl space for storage, and they no longer have to worry about mold in their crawl space causing issues in there home.
