The wall had cracked and shifted over time, with blocks pushing into the space. We installed a StableLock Wall over the affected area. StableLock is a less disruptive and costly way to repair foundation wall issues than the traditional lifting of the home. We pour a new concrete wall directly in front of the failing wall, providing structural support to the home, and preventing the failing wall from continuing to shift or bow. System Design Specialist Peter F. helped these potential homeowners in North Monmouth, Maine who were about to buy a property where a foundation wall was shearing. The cinder blocks were shifting and the buyers were very concerned about the integrity of the wall. We installed PowerBraces, which are steel beams that are custom fit to prevent the wall from any further shifting. Overtime, the PowerBraces can even be adjusted to get the wall back to its original straight position. The buyers can rest easy knowing their investment in the home is secure.

This basement belongs to a 200 year old home in New Sharon, Maine. The homeowners had water intrusion from the dirt floor and the old stone walls. We gave the basement a complete makeover, with new concrete flooring, WaterGuard perimeter drainage system, CleanSpace Walls, and a TripleSafe sump pump. CleanSpace Wall system is a vapor barrier that attaches to the walls to seal out moisture and direct it behind the liner down to the WaterGuard drainage. WaterGuard connects to the new TripleSafe to channel water to the pump to be removed from the home. 

Homeowners in Monmouth, ME needed help with their damp basement. The area had dirt floors and moisture issues, causing frustration for the owners. We poured a new slab floor to update the dirt floors, as well as installed WaterGuard and a SuperSump pump system. WaterGuard is a perimeter drainage system built into the new slab that channels any water directly to the SuperSump pump to be removed from the basement. The owners now have a dry, usable space they no longer have to worry about.

Looking for a way to keep any and all moisture out of the space below their home, this Bailey Island, ME homeowner called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems to see just what we could do for them. After receiving their free estimate, they gave our crew the go-ahead to begin work on the permanent solution they were looking for. First, in order to create a vapor barrier over the exposed earth, a Drainage Matting was laid across the floor and a CleanSpace liner was utilized to encapsulate the entire interior of the crawlspace. This vapor barrier will block any future moisture leaking into the space before it can reach the interior of the crawlspace. This blocked water will flow through channels built into the bottom of the Drainage Matting to where it can most easily drain back into the ground without causing more problems for the homeowner. In order to expediate the water-removal, a TripleSafe sump pump was installed in the floor of the space as well. This device contains three separate pumps each working to keep this crawlspace dry year-round. The while the primary and secondary pumps work using power from the home, the third pump operates on a backup battery to ensure even during storms harsh enough to knock out power, the water-removal process continues.

These waterproofing measures will ensure this homeowner won’t need to suffer from any side effects of moisture build-up in their crawlspace in the future. The vapor barrier & TripleSafe installations will ensure this space remains dry & healthy for years to come!
