Waterford, ME Crawlspace Waterproofed with CleanSpace Installation
Living in Waterford, ME, this homeowner had recently begun to notice a musty smell around parts of their home. Worried about what might be causing this problem, the homeowner checked if they could find any information online. They soon discovered TC Hafford Basement Systems and called us to receive their free estimate on solutions for the issue. After speaking with our sales representative, the homeowner gave us the green light to get started on eliminating the moisture problem in the crawlspace below the home. As soon as our installation crew arrived at the home, they began work on the crawlspace right away. With moisture leaking in through the ground and building up in the space, a barrier was needed to keep the water at bay. First, a Drainage Matting was laid across the crawlspace floor. This mat has many holes throughout it, and it rests just above the surface of the floor using grooves along the bottom. This allows for any water trapped between the vapor barrier layers to flow down and out of the space following the channels created by the grooves. Finally, a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the walls and floor of the space. This completely seals out any moisture that would have previously leaked into the interior of the crawlspace. With their new barrier in place below their home, this homeowner should soon notice the musty smell dissipate. The CleanSpace liner will keep the space below this home dry for years into the future!

Moist Basement In Bridgton, ME Waterproofed With SuperSump
A homeowner in Bridgton was looking to have their basement finished, but with water leaking into it during rain, this wasn’t going to happen. Before they could move forward with finishing their basement, they needed to waterproof their basement. They soon heard about TC Hafford Basement Systems from a satisfied previous customer and they contacted us right away. We had a representative give the homeowner a free estimate and got to work on the basement! We dug out a hole in the basement floor to create a sump. This is where the water will naturally gather. Gutter Shutter Installation in Bridgton, Maine
When a homeowner in Bridgton, Maine, reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems, they were seeking a solution to address their water drainage issues. Without an effective gutter system, rainwater was pooling near the foundation, posing a risk to the home’s structural integrity. After conducting a thorough inspection, the TC Hafford team determined that installing the Gutter Shutter system, along with a RainChute, would be the ideal solution to redirect water safely away from the property.   The Gutter Shutter system provides oversized gutters that can handle large volumes of rain while keeping out leaves and debris, ensuring a maintenance-free, clog-resistant solution. Complementing this, the RainChute efficiently channels rainwater away from the foundation, protecting the home from erosion and water damage. These installations work in tandem to safeguard the home’s exterior and reduce the risk of costly repairs down the line.     Upon completion, the homeowner expressed their satisfaction with the results. The streamlined system now offers both functionality and peace of mind, knowing their home is well-protected against water-related issues. Moving Wall and Wet Basement Causing Problems for Homeowner
A moving wall was creating problems for this Bridgton, ME, homeowner, leading to an unstable foundation and water in their basement. Wanting to get ahead of the issue before springtime when the water is worse, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate. System Design Specialist Sam Crowley met with the homeowner, and together they designed a waterproofing and foundation repair system that would meet the needs of the home and protect their family. When a foundation begins to move or break down, the home would have to be lifted and a new foundation poured in its place. With StableLock Wall System, the homeowner never has to leave the comfort of their home. StableLock is a quicker and more cost-effective solution to a failing foundation using modern shoring and forming methods. StableLock fills the voids of the failing wall, stabilizing it and leaving a new, smooth wall in its place. To catch groundwater and keep the basement dry, WaterGuard was installed where needed to channel water to the new TripleSafe Sump Pump. The TripleSafe sump pump features two Zoeller pumps with an included battery-powered backup pump. The battery backup pump comes on in the event of a power outage, keeping the homeowner protected from water coming into their basement and causing issues. The TripleSafe takes the water and pumps it out through the new Exterior Buried Discharge line. The Discharge line takes the water far from the home, and with the installed IceGuard, the system is protected against ice buildup, and the system runs all year without issue. To finish the waterproofing system, the homeowner opted to have a SaniDry Sedona installed to keep the humidity in their basement at a safe level. Now the homeowner is able to enjoy their basement and use it for storage without the risk of their belongings being damaged.

o Edited: Two Basement Wall Cracks In Hanover, ME Sealed With FlexiSpan
A couple in Hanover had been living in their home for 40 years. They had recently noticed two cracks in their basement wall where water was coming in through. They were using their basement for storage at the time, and needed to stop this water from entering as soon as possible! They soon saw TC Hafford Basement Systems at a home show, and knew we were the right people for the job! They contacted us shortly after the show and we got to work! To seal the cracks, we used FlexiSpan. This is a three-tier structure, which is flexible, and able to contort to a crack, should the wall shift at all. The first layer is a layer of sealant applied directly into the crack. Next, a foam mat is laid over the top of the sealant, this is where the flexibility comes from. Finally, a second layer of sealant is applied over the foam, holding the structure in place, and completely locking out any moisture trying to enter through the crack. This FlexiSpan is sure to keep even a 40-year-old basement dry!
Hanover, ME Basement Kept Safe from the Elements with SuperSump Installation
A homeowner that lived in Hanover, ME was in the market for some basement waterproofing. After visiting a home show and seeing that TC Hafford could offer them the solution they needed, they called our office staff to ask about their free estimate. Once they spoke to our representative, they knew they were ready to move forward with the basement waterproofing. We dispatched our crew and got started on the basement! Once the installation crew arrived at the home, they began work on the basement by installing a SuperSump device in the lowest point of the floor. This pump will take in the water gathering across this homeowners’ basement and force it up and out of the home through a PVC discharge line. Outside the home, the discharge line carries the water away from the home before it is released through the grated opening of a LawnScape discharge port. Just where the line exits the home, an IceGuard pipe section was attached to further protect the basement from water. Now if ice were to cause a blockage in the line, the trapped water would flow out through special holes in the IceGuard instead of flowing into the basement again. With these additions to their basement installed, this homeowner can now rest assured their basement will remain water-free. The SuperSump pump will force any gathering water from the home from now-on.

A homeowner in Oquossoc had noticed his basement wall was bowing. This was an immediate concern for the homeowner, as he feared it may cave in. He called us to set up a meeting with our representative, and we inspected the wall to give him his free estimate. After that, we sent in our crew to get started! To begin with the installation of Geo-Lock Wall Anchors, we drilled deep horizontal holes evenly spaced along the wall in a line. We then dug out vertical holes on the lawn outside the wall to meet up with the previously drilled holes. We then inserted long poles in through the horizontal holes, attaching them on both ends to thin metal plates. The second pair of plates are inserted through the vertical holes. These plates are secured parallel to the wall, to use the soil for support and pull on the wall. These can be tightened over time to pull the wall back into its original position. With these anchors in place, this homeowner no longer needs to worry about a cave in within his basement!
