Wet Crawlspace In East Winthrop, ME Drained Properly With SmartSump
A homeowner in East Winthrop was having trouble with water gathering within his crawlspace. This water was beginning to cause mold to grow within the space, and the homeowner wanted something done about it. After seeing an ad on television for TC Hafford Basement Systems, the homeowner called us right away! We gave them their free estimate, and then we got to work. To help drain the water from the crawlspace, we installed a SmartSump sump pump in the floor of the crawlspace. This will take in the water, and pump it out of the space through a PVC discharge line. To remove the moisture from the air, we installed a SaniDry CX dehumidifier. Removing the moisture from the air in the crawlspace will eventually kill off the mold. This is because mold needs moisture to survive. With these new products in place, this homeowner will no longer have any trouble with water gathering in his crawlspace.
WaterGuard Installation Protects East Winthrop, ME Basement from Flooding
Living with a flooding basement was not something this East Winthrop, ME homeowner imagined when they first moved into their new home. With a concrete foundation below the home, the homeowner was unsure how to approach the problem. After seeing an ad for TC Hafford on TV, they called us right away and we set them up with a free estimate. They spoke with our sales representative and decided they would like to have us get the job done on their basement. When our installation crew arrived at the home, their first task was to excavate a shallow trench intro the perimeter of the basement floor. This allowed them to lay WaterGuard piping down around the outer edge of the floor, just beneath the surface.  After being buried beneath a fresh layer of concrete, the WaterGuard pipes will capture any moisture leaking through the foundation using slits along the edges of each pipe. The water is then trapped within the piping and guided beneath the floor to the sump where it will be removed from the home. To take care of the water-removal, a SuperSump pump was installed in the sump. Nearby, an UltraSump backup battery was also installed and connected to the SuperSump. The new pump will take in the water collected by the WaterGuard and force it out of the home through a PVC discharge line. The SuperSump can keep up with more than 2,600 gallons of water every hour. The UltraSump battery will ensure the SuperSump remains active even during power outages, keeping the basement water-free during especially harsh storms. With their newly waterproofed basement, this homeowner can now use the space below their home how they wanted to without the fear of water damage. The classic WaterGuard & SuperSump combination will keep this basement free of flooding water for years to come!

They called us soon after to arrange to receive their free estimate. We sent out our representative to inspect the basement and do just that. The TripleSafe is composed of three pumps. The primary pump handles the bulk of the water. While the secondary pump will take on the bulk should the primary fail for any reason. The third pump is a battery backup pump, which will only switch on should the power go out. The water gathered in the TripleSafe will be pumped out of the basement through a PVC discharge line. On the outside of the home, we attached an IceGuard filter to the line. This IceGuard will allow water to continue to flow from the basement in the event that the lower end of the pipe becomes blocked by ice, or any other debris. Now this couple can rest assure that water will no longer pool up around their sump, but will be forced out of the basement, thanks to their TripleSafe pump.

SunHouse Installation Provides Plenty of Lighting for Manchester, ME Basement
A homeowner living in Manchester, ME had just about completed the process of finishing their basement. One of the final things they needed was proper lighting. Our office staff set them up with a free estimate and they soon met with one of our sales representatives to talk about their options. Leaking Basement In Norridgewock, ME Sealed
A couple in Norridgewock was having issues with water entering their basement through their foundation walls; Especially through a large crack on one of the walls. Needing professional help, the homeowners called TC Hafford Basement Systems, immediately after seeing us on their television. We had a representative at the home in no time to inspect the basement and give the homeowners a free estimate. They made their decision and our crew got to work! We began by digging a trench around the interior perimeter of their basement floor. This allowed us to lay down our WaterGuard piping system, lining the basement floor. It was then covered in rocks and cement to conceal it without stopping it from functioning. The WaterGuard will take in all the water trying to enter through the walls or floor, guiding it then out of the basement through the sump. We then got to work sealing the crack. To help with the sealing process, we put down a layer of sealant over the top of the crack, with plugs spread out along the sealant. An injection of Polyurethane was then shot into each of these plugs. Filling the crack, and solidifying. Completely sealing out any moisture that would have previously entered. With these in place, the homeowners will no longer experience any trouble with water in their basement!

After their estimate, they gave us the go-ahead to get start on this basement waterproofing! Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they got started on the project by excavating a trench into the perimeter of the basement floor. Within this trench, a WaterGuard piping system was installed. Buried below a fresh coat of concrete, these pipes capture leaking moisture through small slits on the bottom edge of each pipe. This trapped water is guided to the sump where a SuperSump pump was installed. The SuperSump then pumps any collected water out of the home through a PVC discharge line. This water then flows across the lawn and drains back into the ground some distance from the home. Now any rainwater will be swept away through the WaterGuard before it ever reaches the surface of this basement. This homeowner can rest assured their belonging will remain undamaged in the future.
