Just beyond where the discharge line exits the home, an IceGuard pipe piece was attached to the line. This piece has special holes built-in that allow for blocked water to escape the line. This protects against any ice that might form and block the lower end of the line. Now that their basement is properly waterproofed, this homeowner can utilize the space however they please.
