Wet Basement In Freedom, ME Kept Dry With WaterGuard
A homeowner in Freedom had a basement with an exceptionally smelly odor. This was a clear sign of mold growth, which was caused by moisture making its way into the basement. This moisture issue needed to be addressed, so the homeowner got into contact with TC Hafford Basement Systems. We soon had a representative head out to the home for an inspection and to give a free estimate. We got the go ahead and started work on the basement! The first thing that needed to be done was digging up the interior perimeter of the basement. This trench made it possible to lay a WaterGuard pipe system. This pipe will capture the water entering trough the walls or for before it makes it to the surface. The water is then directed to the sump in the basement. Here we installed a SuperSump sump pump. This pump will take the water from the pipe and force it up and out of the basement through a PVC discharge line. On the exterior of the home, we attached an IceGuard piece to the PVC line. This is a specialized pipe that allows the water coming from the sumo to exit the pipe should the lower end of the discharge line become blocker by ice or other debris. These additions will keep this homeowner’s basement mold free for many years to come!
Port Clyde, ME Crawlspace Protected By CleanSpace
A homeowner in Port Clyde was having serious trouble with water gathering in their crawlspace. They needed this addressed professionally and took to the internet to find a solution. They soon came across TC Hafford Basement Systems and decided we were the right company to get the job done. They called us the next day and we had a representative head over to give them their free estimate. The homeowner gave us the green light and we got started! We began work in the crawlspace by installing a SuperSump sump pump in the floor where the water would gather, this would then take the water and push it up and out of the crawlspace. Next, we laid a Drainage Matting around the inside perimeter of the crawlspace to hold back moisture coming in through the walls and allowing it time to drain back out into the surrounding soil. The crawlspace was then encapsulated with a CleanSpace Liner and sealed off from moisture trying to enter. This will eliminate the issue of water pooling up inside the crawlspace for a very long time. Finally, to maintain a dry atmosphere within the crawlspace, we installed a SaniDry XP dehumidifier. Which will cycle the air and remove any moisture, keeping the crawlspace completely moisture free!
SaniDry Installation Keeps Port Clyde, ME Crawlspace Water-Free
After living in Port Clyde, ME for some time, these homeowners began to notice a musty smell within their home. After identifying the source to be the crawlspace beneath their home, they knew they would need to find a way to keep the space safe from moisture. They soon heard about TC Hafford from a friend and called us to receive their free estimate. Our sales rep. sat down with the homeowners soon after to discuss their options. They gave us the green light and our crew got to work! Once they arrived at the home, our installation crew was able to begin work on waterproofing the crawlspace right away. To eliminate the moisture building up in the atmosphere within the crawlspace, a SaniDry CX dehumidifier was installed on the floor. This device will pull in the surrounding air, separating any moisture from it and then circulating it back into the crawlspace. This will remove any moisture problems present within the space, keeping the air healthy and dry. The water collected by the SaniDry is then passed to a Condensate Pump installed nearby. This pump will force the water out of the home through a discharge line. The water travels a distance from the home through this line and is released onto the ground to harmlessly drain away into the ground. With their dehumidifier in place, these homeowners no longer need to put up with the musty smell throughout their home. The SaniDry CX & Condensate pump will keep the air in this crawlspace moisture-free for years to come!
BrightWall was the right choice for the Newport, ME, Church of God
In Newport, ME, the Newport Church of God was having some water trouble in their basement. The walls needed to be painted, but with water seeping in through the surrounding soil, the paint just wouldn’t stick to the wall. After seeing TC Hafford Basement Systems at a home show, the Church gave us the opportunity to solve their problem. Once our representative David Zawistowski had a look at the walls, he knew what needed to be done and the team got called in. BrightWall panels were used to cover all the affected walls. These panels keep moisture behind them, and have a nice bright-white color to them. The panels will never deteriorate, and are cut to fit perfectly around any obstacles along the wall, such as pipes or windows. A great choice for both giving the walls a pleasant look, as well as keeping moisture from the surface of the wall.
Newport, ME Basement Protected From Water Damage With WaterGuard
A homeowner in Newport was in need of basement waterproofing. Their basement would regularly flood during heavy rains, which was beginning to leave visible damage around the basement. They needed a way to stop this flooding, and they searched online for a solution. Soon they came across TC Hafford Basement Systems and knew we were the right company for the job! They gave us a call and we had a representative inspect the basement to see what we could do. We gave them a free estimate on the repair costs and then we got to work. We started by digging up the inside perimeter of the basement floor. This gave us room to lay down our WaterGuard pipe system. The WaterGuard is then covered over with loose rocks and cement to conceal it under the floor without hindering functionality. It will capture water as it enters the basement through the walls or floor from the surrounding earth. The water is then guided to the sump, where we installed a SuperSump sump pump. The pump will take the water and push it up and out of the basement through a PVC discharge line. Outside the basement, we attached an IceGuard to the discharge line so that the water coming from the SuperSump will continue to flow even if the line becomes blocked by ice or other debris. Finally, we installed a SaniDry XP dehumidifier to dry out the air in the basement. Now the homeowner has a basement that never floods, and dry, healthy air circulating through it!

A Thorndike, ME homeowner reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with their damp 1870's farmhouse crawlspace. System Design Specialist Craig Z. met with them to give a free estimate. The Discharge line is protected against ice buildup during the winter months with the installation of IceGuard. To take care of any humidity in the crawlspace, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was set up with an additional line attached to the SuperSump so the homeowner doesn't have to empty buckets of water. Their 150 year old space is now dry and has new life!
Moist Crawlspace in Warren, ME, Encapsulated
A homeowner in Warren had a crawlspace with a sand floor. This was a problem for the homeowner, because water was easily entering the crawlspace, and causing mold to grow. The homeowner took to the internet to find a solution. TC Hafford soon received a call. We took a look at the crawlspace, and got to work! We started by placing down a drainage matting on the floor. This acts as a primary barrier from water, and will allow any water entering the crawlspace to flow back out through the floor. Then the entire crawlspace got encapsulated by our team, using CleanSpace Liner. This liner fits tight against the walls and floor of the crawlspace. It seals out any water trying to sneak into the crawlspace. Now this homeowner no longer needs to worry about water or mold in their crawlspace.

After visiting a home show in Bangor, she knew TC Hafford Basement Systems would be the ones who could get the job done; so she gave us a call! We started by encapsulating the basement floor and walls with a CleanSpace Liner. This is a thin sheet of plastic that seals moisture outside of the basement. FlexiSpan Seal Protects Plymouth, ME Basement from Leaking Water
This homeowner that lived in Plymouth, ME had been living with cracks on their basement walls for years. These cracks recently began letting water flow into the basement, causing the homeowner to worry about water damage to their property. As soon as they saw our ad on their TV, they called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems right away to ask what we could do about their wet basement. The homeowner soon received their free estimate from our sales representative, and they hired us to get the job done as soon as our crew was available! When our crew arrived at the home, they got started on FlexiSpan seals to repair these cracks by brushing each crack clear of debris with a coarse brush. This would allow the sealant to better adhere to the surface. An initial layer of sealant was then laid within and slightly around each crack. Next, A foam matting was placed over this initial layer. The foam was then covered by a second layer of sealant, completing the FlexiSpan installations. The foam core within each seal acts to hold the shape of the crack, so that if the crack were to shift in the future, the seal will stay in position. Now this homeowner can relax during rainfall, knowing their basement will no longer take on water through the cracks in the walls. The FlexiSpan seals will keep this basement water-free for years to come!
Wet Basement in Dover Foxcroft, ME, Pumped Dry
A homeowner in Dover Foxcroft was experiencing trouble with water coming in through his walls. This water would collect and cause moisture to build up in the basement. This moisture created great living conditions for mold. After receiving a piece of mail advertising TC Hafford, the homeowner gave us a call. We looked over the basement, and discussed potential fixes with the homeowner. Once the homeowner decided what they wanted done, we got working. The first thing we dig was dig out a hole to become a sump. The sump was then fitted with a SuperSump sump pump. This pump takes all the water collecting in the basement and forces it up and out of the basement through PVC pipe. On the outside of the house, we attached an IceGuard pipe to the PVC to allow for water to flow even if the rest of the pipe becomes blocked. This will ensure our sump pump doesn’t back up. This homeowner now has a dry basement.
