The IceGuard will protect the home against any ice or debris blocking the lower end of the line. Any water trapped by a blockage is able to escape the line through holes in the IceGuard piece. Finally, a LawnScape cap piece was used to end the line. This piece has a grate over the end so that the water can flow onto the lawn while outside debris is kept from entering the pipe. Now that they have a proper sump system in place, this homeowner will no longer need to worry about finding a flooded basement during heavy rainfall.
