This Scarborough, ME building has had water issues for years. With as much as two inches of standing water, this basement stayed on the wet side. After deciding that it was time to address the issue and protect the health of the building, the property owners reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for help. System Design Specialist Jordan Tarbox met with the owner at the property and worked with them to design a system specifically for this basement. The best course of action would be a brand-new slab with a waterproofing system.
First, to create an inorganic barrier between the new slab and the earth, Drainage Matting is laid down, preventing outside elements from touching the slab. WaterGuard is installed around the perimeter of the basement to channel any water to a TripleSafe Sump Pump that will take water out of the basement and push it through an exterior Buried Discharge Line. CleanSpace Wall System is installed and connected to the WaterGuard, ensuring no water can seep through any cracks and end up on the new slab. To prevent humidity from being an issue, a SaniDry Sedona is installed in the basement to keep humidity at a safe level.
The new slab is ready to be poured, and the basement will now be a usable space without concern of damaging any stored items, and the building is protected from water damage and mold.
We recently helped homeowners in Scarborough, Maine who had leaking basement walls and wanted to keep their basement dry. We installed CleanSpace Wall system, a vapor barrier that seals out moisture, directing it behind the liner and down to the new WaterGuard perimeter drainage system. WaterGuard collects moisture and channels it to the TripleSafe sump pump (not pictured here) to be pumped away from the home. These products work seamlessly together to keep the basement dry all the time!
We recently helped Scarborough, Maine homeowners with replacing their bulkhead doors. The old doors were rusted and deteriorating, and the concrete around the doors had eroded. We installed brand new doors as well as repaired the concrete, improving the appearance of the home and keeping water at bay.

Homeowners in Scarborough, Maine had leaking basement walls, causing water to pool and run across their basement floor. To address the leaking walls, we installed BrightWall, a wall paneling system that acts as a vapor barrier. BrightWall allows water to stay behind the panel, funneling it down to the new WaterGuard perimeter drainage system. The BrightWall panels give the basement a fresh, clean appearance, and they are durable and easy to clean. WaterGuard connects to their new TripleSafe sump pump (not pictured here), to pump away any incoming moisture. The basement looks great and will stay dry for years to come!
