The current homeowner of a Lewiston, ME home was left with ongoing water issues due to the previous owner removing the bulkhead. Frustrated over the ongoing mess, the homeowners contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for help keeping the basement dry all the time. We poured a new slab floor complete with WaterGuard perimeter drainage system. We also added CleanSpace Wall system around the basement as a vapor barrier that channels any moisture to the WaterGuard. The WaterGuard connects with the brand new TripleSafe sump pump system, which then removes water from the home through an exterior buried discharge line.
We helped Lewiston, Maine homeowners fix their leaking basement. Water was coming in through the walls with every rain storm, sometimes causing as much as 4" of water in the basement. To address the walls, we installed CleanSpace Wall System, a vapor barrier that seals moisture out of the basement and directs it behind the liner to our WaterGuard drainage system. WaterGuard is installed around the perimeter of the basement to collect water and in turn funnels it to the TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe sump pump removes water from the home through an exterior buried discharge line. We also poured a new slab floor to prevent water seeping in. Finally, we installed a SaniDry Sedona high efficiency air system that controls the humidity in the space, as well as filters out allergens.
Since moving in, this Cumberland Foreside, ME, homeowner has had issues with puddles in their basement. Wanting to keep the puddles outside, they called TC Hafford Basement Systems to book a free estimate. System Design Specialist Jordan Tarbox met with the homeowner to discuss their goals and design a waterproofing system that would protect the health of the home.
To keep puddles from forming, WaterGuard was installed around the problem areas to catch water and channel it to a SuperSump Plus. The SuperSump Plus will take the water from WaterGuard and any groundwater and push it through an exterior Buried Discharge Line. IceGuard is installed on the Discharge Line, ensuring the system will work year-round without the concern of ice building up and blocking the system.
The homeowner is now able to live worry-free, knowing TC Hafford Basement Systems has solved their water problems and offers annual maintenance to keep the basement dry for the life of the home.
We replaced this customers faulty sump system with our TripleSafe Sump Pump to provide 3 levels of protection against water intrusion.
This Yarmouth, ME, homeowner had an issue with water getting into their basement and causing issues with mold and mildew that led to a funky smell in the basement. Ready to tackle the issue and make the space comfortable to use again, the homeowner reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate. System Design Specialist Ken Castillo met with the homeowner and worked with them to design a waterproofing system that was specific to their home and would address all of their issues at once.
WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter of the basement to capture groundwater and channel it to the brand new SuperSump Plus. The WaterGuard is installed under the slab and features Ports for easy maintenance. The SuperSump Plus is capable of taking the water that is channeled to it and pumping it out of the basement through a Buried Discharge Line that is protected from ice buildup with IceGuard. In high-traffic areas such as doorways and appliances, TrenchDrain was installed and connected to the WaterGuard to ensure all water is being channeled to the sump. BrightWall Panels were installed on the walls, which act as a vapor barrier and integrate into the WaterGuard to capture any water seepage from the walls. BrightWall covers the old wall, leaving a bright white finish that helps to reflect light and illuminate the basement more. Finally, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to keep humidity at a safe level and prevent mold and mildew from causing issues for the homeowner. Typically, homeowners have to empty a bucket of water to keep their dehumidifier working, but with the SaniDry Sedona, it drains directly to the SuperSump Plus, meaning the homeowner can travel without worrying about moisture in their basement. Now the basement is revitalized, and the homeowner is protected from moisture and water problems and can use their basement how it’s intended to be used.
