Saco, ME homeowners reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate on encapsulating their crawl space. They were tired of dealing with a cold, dusty space they felt they couldn't use. System Design Specialist Peter F. created a plan to insulate and encapsulate the space. To fully encapsulate the crawl space and keep moisture and critters out, CleanSpace with Drainage Matting was installed. Drainage Matting is a durable barrier with dimples to help channel water and elevate the CleanSpace, keeping it clean. CleanSpace is a durable, inorganic vapor barrier that gets attached to the walls and seals up the crawl space, keeping moisture out. Foamax wall insulation panels were also installed to act as a moisture barrier, as well as insulate the space. The homeowners can now store their belongings without everything getting dusty, and save money on their energy bills at the same time!

We turned this damp Saco, Maine crawl space into a dry space with our two-step encapsulation system. The dirt floors were allowing moisture to seep in, causing the space to stay damp, which can lead to wood rot and mold growth.
