The CleanSpace vapor barrier system was installed to seal and protect the homeowner's basement. Our team applied the durable liner to the walls and floor, creating an airtight barrier that prevents moisture, mold, and humidity from entering. System Design Specialist Michael M. helped Unity, ME homeowners with their damp and dingy crawlspace. The homeowners contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems to learn their options for insulation and water protection.

We cleared the crawlspace of debris and regraded the area with clean stone. We were then able to install CleanSpace with drainage matting, an inorganic vapor barrier that seals the walls. SprayFoam insulation was installed on the rim joists to provide an added air and moisture seal. Lastly, we installed a SaniDry Sedona high efficiency air purifier to filter any dust and mold spores, as well as control the moisture in the air.

A Liberty, ME homeowner contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with their wet and musty crawlspace. The homeowner wanted to encapsulate the space, as well as install SprayFoam Insulation, knowing it was eligible for energy rebates through the state. We encapsulated the space using CleanSpace with Drainage Matting. Drainage Matting is a durable barrier with dimples to help channel water and elevate the CleanSpace, keeping it clean. CleanSpace is a durable, inorganic vapor barrier that gets attached to the walls and seals up the crawl space, keeping moisture out. We also installed a TripleSafe sump pump, which features two Zoeller sumps and a battery-powered backup. The TripleSafe drains water out of the crawlspace and through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that is protected against ice buildup in the winter with IceGuard. SprayFoam was installed on the rim joists and walls to insulate the area, keeping cold air out during the winter, making the space more dry and comfortable, and saving the homeowner money on their energy bill!

When the homeowner in Appleton, Maine, first contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems, their crawl space was a major concern. They had noticed uneven floors and signs of moisture buildup, which could lead to long-term damage if not addressed. The crawl space had no moisture barrier in place, and the support beams were beginning to weaken under the strain. Following our comprehensive evaluation, we installed a SmartJack system, providing the essential support to stabilize the floor above and correct the unevenness that had been a source of worry. Next, we fitted the CleanSpace liner system, which sealed off the crawl space from outside moisture, ensuring a dry and healthy environment. Finally, the installation of the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier guaranteed that humidity levels would stay low, keeping the crawl space mold-free and well-protected.

The transformation was remarkable. What was once an unstable and damp space became a solid, dry, and secure foundation for the home. The homeowner was greatly satisfied with the end result, knowing that their crawl space was not only stabilized but fully protected against future issues.

Our production crew went out and did a great job transforming this space into a safe, dry, odorless, usable area. We installed WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement, which directed water into the new sump pump in the crawl space. CleanSpace and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier were also installed in the Crawl Space.
