System Design Specialist Mike P. created a plan to remove the old fiberglass insulation to be replaced with SprayFoam Insulation on the rim joists and walls. SprayFoam acts as both an air and moisture barrier, filling hard to fit nooks and crannies to create and well buttoned up space. We also installed a SmartSump pump system to help with the removal of any water that may come through the floor. 

We recently helped insulate this Saco, Maine basement. The owners wanted the space to feel more comfortable, so they reached out to get a free estimate. We recommended Spray Foam insulation for their walls and rim joists to create an air tight seal, keeping cold air out. After having a mold remediation company come in to clean, we installed blown in cellulose insulation in the attic. Cellulose insulation can easily fill attic gaps, and is made of recycled materials. System Design Specialist Nima Farshid worked with the homeowner to design a DR. Energy Saver system that would save them money on their energy bill and make their home more comfortable. Foamax Board was installed on the basement walls to insulate the area. Foamax has a white foil finish on the front to create a clean-looking and brighter basement. Foamax also features a foil vapor barrier on the back side that helps to control basement humidity. SprayFoam was installed along the rim joist to finish out the Dr Energy Saver System, and the homeowner is able to live more comfortably and save money on their energy bill now that their home will be more energy efficient.
