Homeowners in South Portland, Maine wanted to improve the insulation in the crawl space to help with the home's energy efficiency. The old fiberglass insulation was damp and failing, with many pieces falling down to the ground. We installed Spray Foam insulation on the walls of the crawl space to create a thermal boundary. Spray Foam seals out air and moisture, and can get into the nooks and crannies better than fiberglass insulation. It also prevents mold growth, unlike fiberglass insulation which can often be a breeding ground for mold.
Falmouth, ME homeowners wanted help from TC Hafford Basement Systems updating their attic insulation. System Design Specialist Josh H. met with the owners to assess their attic space and give a free estimate. We removed the old fiberglass insulation which was damp and failing. We installed TruSoft cellulose insulation. TruSoft is made out of recycled materials, and offers fire, mold, and pest resistance.
A homeowner from Lewiston, ME contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate on installing spray foam insulation. They were tired of having a cold and inefficient crawl space. System Design Specialist Stephen C. created a plan to address their needs.

Homeowners in Yarmouth, Maine reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with insulating their basement. They wanted to improve their energy efficiency to have savings on their utility bills. We installed Foamax on the basement walls, a paneled insulation that not only helps keep the basement warm, but also acts as a vapor barrier. In the ceiling we used Rockwool insulation, a durable option that does not sag or get damp and moldy like traditional fiberglass insulation.
A Freeport, ME homeowner contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate to insulate their basement. They also wanted to learn what energy rebates were available. System Design Specialist Louis D. created a plan to keep their space protected. We installed Foamax basement wall insulation which has a foil vapor barrier on the back to protect against moisture and humidity. Foamax also helps insulate the space so the warmer air in the basement isn't escaping through the walls. The white foil on the front of the Foamax gives a nice clean finished look.
