Lisbon, Maine homeowners had an old sump pump but they felt it was not working well enough to keep up with their basement water problems. We replaced their old sump pump with our TripleSafe sump pump system. The TripleSafe has three pumps, including two Zoeller pumps and a third battery backup pump. The TripleSafe can handle over 6,000 gallons of water per hour in high capacity events. The UltraSump batter backup ensures the pump operates even if the home loses power. We also installed a SaniDry Sedona high efficiency air system which can remove over 100 pints of water from the air each day, keeping humidity at a healthy level.
We recently helped homeowners in Lisbon, Maine with their leaky basement. The owners noticed water coming through a leak in the wall, as well as a crack in the floor. We installed a TripleSafe sump pump system with WaterGuard and Trench Drain perimeter drainage. On the leaking wall we installed CleanSpace Wall System to act as a vapor barrier, sealing moisture out and channeling water seepage to the WaterGuard. WaterGuard and Trench Drain capture water that seeps in and brings it to the TripleSafe sump pump to be pumped away from the home. The TripleSafe has two Zoeller pumps, and a third battery backup pump, ensuring your system will run properly in all conditions.
We recently helped Lisbon, Maine homeowners who were experiencing odors from their crawl space, and indicated the crawl space often had a lot of moisture. Dirt floors allow moisture to seep into a crawl space, keeping it damp and musty. Over time, moisture can cause mold or rot to the wooden support beams for the home. When support beams weaken, it can cause sagging or sloping floors. We installed SmartJacks, which are steel posts, to provide added support to the home above. SmartJacks can be adjusted to even lift sagging floors back to level. We also encapsulated the crawl space with CleanSpace vapor barrier, which seals out moisture, keeping the crawl space protected.
A Chebeague Island homeowner planned to enjoy living on an island surrounded by water, but didn't plan to have island in their basement! They reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems to help mitigate their water issues. Our System Design Specialist met with the homeowner to design an encapsulation system that would solve their problems.
To fully encapsulate the basement and keep moisture out, CleanSpace with Drainage Matting was installed. Drainage Matting is a durable barrier with dimples to help channel water and elevate the CleanSpace, keeping it clean. CleanSpace is a durable, inorganic vapor barrier that gets attached to the walls and seals up the crawl space, keeping moisture out. A SmartSump was installed to capture water and pump it through the new Exterior Buried Discharge line. The Discharge line takes the water far from the home and with the installation of IceGuard, the entire system is protected against ice buildup in the winter. Now our homeowner can enjoy island time without the headache of unwanted water!
Living with an old sump, this Freeport, ME homeowner thought it was time they replaced it with a more powerful pump. Shortly after they contacted us at TC Hafford Basement Systems, our sales representative met with the homeowner to go over their options and give them a free estimate. The homeowner soon gave us the green light to begin work on upgrading their old sump! As soon as our installation crew made it out to the home, they began by removing the old pump and digging out the sump to make room for the larger SuperSump. With the SuperSump installed, any water leaking into the basement in the future will be forced out of the home through the PVC discharge line. Outside the home, an IceGuard pipe section along with a LawnScape discharge port were attached to this line. The IceGuard provides protection against ice or other blockages in the line by allowing any trapped water angled holes to escape through before it can reach the basement again to cause flooding. The LawnScape port on the end of the line provides a grate to hold back leaves or other debris that could block the line over time.
With these upgrades in place below their home, this homeowner can now rely on their sump to handle water removal without needing to manually assist. The new SuperSump pump will keep this basement water-free for the future!
