The homeowner booked a free estimate with TC Hafford Basement Systems, and System Design Specialist Peter Folsom worked with the homeowner to design a new sump system that would fit their needs. A TripleSafe Sump Pump was installed in the basement's low spot to capture groundwater and take care of it before it could cause any problems. The Triple Safe features two Zoeller sumps to handle heavy rain situations with the added protection of a battery backup pump. The water gets pumped out of the basement and far away from the home through a Buried Discharge Line. Maine gets cold, so to prevent ice buildup from being a problem during the winter months, IceGuard was installed on the Discharge line to ensure the system will run with no hiccups. The homeowner is happy and can use their basement freely without worrying about their items being damaged by water.

This Cape Elizabeth, Maine crawl space needed added supports after moisture had weakened the wooden beams. We installed SmartJacks and a new supplemental beam. SmartJacks not only stabilize the home, but they can also be adjusted to lift and level the floors above in the case of any sinking or sagging.
