CleanSpace™ is a heavy 20 mil-thick-liner, similar to a pool liner. It is manufactured in 7 layers, a blend of high density polyethylene for puncture resistance, low density polyethylene for flexibility, and polyester cord reinforcement for brute tear resistance. The white finish really brightens your crawl space is free of mold, insects and dirt. The CleanSpace™ is manufactured with an antimicrobial additive called "UltraFresh", molded right into the material.

Homeowners in South Thomaston, ME were frustrated that their crawl space kept experiencing flooding. They contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for trusted help. We first prepared the space by regrading the area and removing debris. We then installed our two-step encapsulation process, including drainage matting and CleanSpace liner. The drainage matting helps channel groundwater directly to their new TripleSafe sump pump. The CleanSpace liner seals out moisture and prevents mold growth within the crawl space. The TripleSafe sump pump is the top of the line pump that includes two Zoeller pumps, as well as a battery back up pump to prevent issues with functionality during power loss. Water is pumped through an exterior discharge line and away from the home. IceGuard is installed on the discharge line to prevent the water from freezing up in the winter.

Owners of a duplex in Rockland, Maine noticed their foundation wall was bowing and had stair-step cracking which often indicates structural issues. To repair their foundation wall, rather than excavating or lifting the home, we pour a new StableLock Wall against the failing wall. StableLock is a concrete wall with a patented system that attaches to the home to keep it secure, preventing the bowing wall from any further movement. The basement has a dirt floor, allowing moisture to seep in, so we also installed a TripleSafe sump pump to remove water from the space.

We upgraded their system to our TripleSafe sump pump, the top of the line sump system. The TripleSafe sump has two Zoeller pumps and a third battery backup pump to ensure it works even if the power goes out. It can handle a capacity of over 6,600 gallons of water per hour, making it a great alternative over pumps you can find at the big box stores. 

Rockland, ME homeowners met with System Design Specialist Kathryn D. for help with their crawlspace. They had mold beginning to grow, and the crawlspace is directly under their master bedroom. We cleaned out all of the debris and old insulation to prep the space for a fresh start. CleanSpace with drainage matting was installed in the entire space, encapsulating the area and providing a seal from moisture. CleanSpace is an inorganic vapor barrier that also prevents mold growth. We also installed a SmartSump pump system with an exterior buried discharge line to remove water away from the home. A SaniDry Sedona high efficiency air purifier was also added to filter dust and mold spores, and control the moisture in the air. Our homeowners can sleep easier now knowing their home is healthier!
