Homeowners in Topsham, Maine wanted to finish their basement, but before investing in the renovations they wanted to know their basement was waterproof and protected. TrenchDrain is used in high traffic areas, and near items that are more likely to experience condensation, like oil tanks. The perimeter drainage is connected directly to their new SuperSump pump to pump the water away from the home. The TripleSafe is composed of three separate pumps. The primary pump handles the bulk of the water entering it. The secondary pump handles the water in the event of the primary pump failing to handle the water. The third pump is a battery backup pump, used only if the power to the home goes out. On the exterior of the home, we attached an IceGuard piece to the discharge line. This specially designed pipe will keep water flowing from the basement even if the lower end becomes blocked by any kind of debris. These newly installed systems will maintain a dry, healthy atmosphere within the basement for years to come This homeowner now has a completely waterproofed basement.

Any areas that could leak air into the home were filled in and around the chimney. Next, TruSoft Cellulose installation was blown in to reinsulate the area. TruSoft Cellulose is an environmentally friendly product made from recycled materials that are treated for fire resistance. Unlike typical fiberglass insulation that will melt when presented with a flame, TruSoft Cellulose insulation will resist the flame and won’t ignite. A homeowner in Harpswell had a crack in their basement that was on the side of their home with a deck attached. CleanSpace not only brightens the area but also aids in keeping critters and moisture out. Drainage Matting creates a barrier gap and allows water to be channeled to the new SuperSump Sump Pump. The SuperSump will push all water out of the area, and because of the CleanSpace and Drainage Matting’s tough design, the crawl space is the perfect storage area for the homeowner.   The basement portion of the space needed to be addressed, and so WaterGuard Perimeter Drain was installed where needed and connected to another SuperSump Sump Pump. The WaterGuard captures and channels water to the SuperSump, which takes the water and pumps it out of the space through a Buried Discharge Line. The Discharge Line takes the water away from the home. The homeowner can now live in their home knowing that their basement and crawl space will no longer be an area of trouble.

They have a very old house with a stone foundation, and they were tired of dealing with a damp, musty crawlspace. Litchfield, Maine homeowners wanted better support in their basement for the home above. We installed SmartJacks, which are zinc coated steel posts that are custom fit to lift and level the floors above. Unlike lally columns, SmartJacks will never rust, and can be tightened over time as needed. 

A homeowner living in Litchfield, ME was in the market for some crawlspace waterproofing. While not being immediately a problem, the damp crawlspace beneath their home was still unpleasant due to the musty smell that came from the space. This mat sits just above the floor and has many perforations to allow for water bloced by the vapor barrier to drain away back into the ground. Over the top of this, a CleanSpace liner was used to encapsulate the crawlspace. This completed the installation of the vapor barrier and will lock out any future leakages. Now any water entering the space will be trapped between the CleanSpace and the ground, where it will soon drain away. Now the interior of this cralwpsace will stay dry during rainfall. This homeowner will no longer need to suffer from the musty smell coming from below their home.
