With water gathering in puddles on their basement floor, this Berwick, ME homeowner needed something to keep the water out. After searching online for a solution, they called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems to see if we could solve their problem. After speaking with our sales representative during their sales estimate, we were given the green light to get started on a WaterGuard & SuperSump installation. Once our crew arrived at the home, they got started on the floor by excavating the perimeter. This allowed for the WaterGuard piping to be laid around the basement floor, just below the surface. Sealed below a fresh layer of concrete, the WaterGuard will absorb any water as it leaks in through the foundation in the future. The water enters through small slits along the lower edge of the pipes and is guided directly into the SuperSump pump installed in the floor as well. The SuperSump can handle up to 2,650 gallons of water per hour, pumping it out of the home through a PVC discharge line. Finally, outside the home, IceGuard & LawnScape pipe segments were attached to the discharge line to provide additional protection against flooding. The LawnScape section covers the end with a grate to keep debris from entering the line while the IceGuard allows a way for any water blocked by ice to escape without backing up into the home.
With a permanent waterproofing solution in place, this homeowner no longer needs to suffer from a flooding basement! The WaterGuard piping along with the SuperSump pump will maintain a dry basement floor for this homeowner for years into the future.
We recently helped previous customers for the second time to ensure their basement stayed dry and protected. We originally replace their old, failing sump pump with our SuperSump pump system. The SuperSump can remove over 2,000 gallons of water per hour! Oftentimes a sump pump alone may not keep a basement entirely waterproofed. We returned to this home to install WaterGuard, our patented perimeter drainage system, to ensure all moisture coming into the basement was getting captured. Once water is in the WaterGuard drainage system, it is channeled directly to the SuperSump to be removed from the home.
Homeowner in Wolfeboro, NH reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems with concerns about the walls in their basement garage. They had dealt with leaking for 25 years, coming from all walls during every rain, and over time causing some wall decay and crumbling. Our System Design Specialist Rick Russell met with the homeowner to review a plan for repair. Our foreman Joshua Benton and installer Korey Sanborn completed the work, including CleanSpace, WaterGuard, and a SuperSump system. CleanSpace is a durable, bright white vapor barrier made of inorganic materials that seals up the area and keeps moisture out. A SuperSump was installed to collect groundwater and pumps out of the basement and away from the home through a new Exterior Buried Discharge line. Now the homeowner is able to relax knowing that their basement garage is protected and their home is more energy efficient.
York, ME homeowners reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for support with the walkout basement at their beach house. The home was built in the 1890's, and they were experiencing water coming up through the floor. We poured a brand new slab floor, including WaterGuard perimeter drainage system, and a new TripleSafe sump pump to handle any moisture. The TripleSafe pumps water away from the home through an exterior buried discharge line.
