TC Hafford Basement Systems Before & After Photos

Jefferson, ME homeowners contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with their crawl space. The crawl space had a dirt floor, along with moisture problems that were causing the floors above to sag in one corner. To address the sagging floors we installed SmartJacks, a steel post system that is custom fit to immediately lift and level the floors above, providing proper support to failing beams and floor joists. To waterproof the crawl space, we installed our two-step encapsulation system with CleanSpace and drainage matting. SprayFoam was installed on the rim joists to create an air and moisture tight seal. Lastly, a SaniDry Sedona air system was added to control the humidity in the space, as well as filter out dust and mold spores.

This Greenville homeowner wanted to take care of the water in their basement before mold became an issue. Water was coming up through the floor and in past the walls. Without waterproofing the basement, the homeowner would never be able to use the space for storage. Wanting to fix their issues and protect the health of their home, they reached out to TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate.

System Design Specialist Adam Hamm met with the homeowner and over 90 minutes, they put together a system that would meet the needs of the homeowner and allow them to finally use the space. The system include a new Slab, WaterGuard Perimeter drain, a CleanSpace Wall system, and a TripleSafe Sump Pump System that is connected to a buried Discharge Line that would take the water far away from the home where it would no longer be a problem.

Now the homeowner has a beautiful space where they can store anything they need without the worry of water damaging their belongings.

Homeowners from Damariscotta, ME contacted TC Hafford Basement Systems for help with their basement. They purchased the home in the fall and by spring had noticed a 4 foot diagonal crack in their wall with water seeping in. System Design Specialist Stephen C. worked with the homeowners to address their waterproofing needs.

BrightWall panels were installed on the walls as a moisture and vapor barrier, as well as to freshen up the space. BrightWall panels are durable, easy to clean, and never discolor. WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter of the basement and connected to a new SuperSump Plus pump. WaterGuard captures and channels water to the SuperSump, which then drains water out of the basement and through an Exterior Buried Discharge line that is protected against ice buildup in the winter with IceGuard. The homeowners now have dry and usable space again!

We recently helped homeowners in New Harbor, Maine to protect their crawl space from moisture and mold issues. The crawl space had a damp gravel floor, and cinder block walls, allowing water to easily seep in. Water intrusion can quickly cause mold, and even wood rot, on the structural support beams. We encapsulated the space with drainage matting and CleanSpace vapor barrier. CleanSpace seals out moisture, and because it is an inorganic material it also prevents mold growth. To better insulate the area we also installed Spray Foam, which creates an air and moisture tight seal while immediately improving the energy efficiency of the home.
